Who We Are
At Mom Your Business, we believe that entrepreneurship is a powerful pathway out of poverty. Since our inception in 2017, we have been dedicated to promoting poverty alleviation through our entrepreneurial support organization in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, by equipping Black and Brown women, ages 35 to 55 years old, with the skills, resources, and capital necessary to achieve both personal and professional success. Our mission is to empower female entrepreneurs, fostering economic independence and community growth. We are committed to providing comprehensive support that includes business accelerators, pitch competitions, mentoring, and events designed to inspire, educate, and elevate.
Founded in 2017 in North Philadelphia, MYB exists to equip Black and Brown women—primarily ages 35–55—with the skills, capital, and community needed to turn their business ideas into economic engines. We support women who are balancing motherhood, ambition, and everyday life—and choosing themselves and their vision.
We know the entrepreneurial journey mirrors motherhood: it demands resilience, sacrifice, vision, and a village. That’s why we built one.
Through business accelerators, pitch competitions, technical assistance, and curated events, we’ve created a trusted ecosystem where women-led ventures grow, thrive, and reinvest in their communities.
